Buying land is a great accomplishment, and one of the most exciting activities you can get involved in. Owning your very own land is a thrilling prospect. However, be aware of unscrupulous real estate agents and/or sellers.

My wife and I bought 10 beautiful, wooded acres in Marion County, Texas. The land has large Southern Pine and Red Oak trees with a small stream flowing through the back section and was unimproved. This was our dream!

We made a very unwise decision, we did not get our own survey of the property. The real estate agent assured us of the property's location, so, we bought the land, paying cash. Later, when visiting our future neighbors, we found out that the land we thought we bought was not the actual piece we now owned. It took 2 years to get this matter straightened out.

Land in Texas is very reasonably priced and beautiful. The land we own is wonderful and everything we wanted.
